About Augarde & Partners
We are a consultancy working at the intersection of place, culture, and economy. We help public, private, and third-sector partners to shape vibrant, resilient places through town centre placemaking, visioning, planning, and strategy. Our work spans transforming underused assets into civic and sustainable spaces, designing commercial and social value strategies, and creating cultural and economic strategies that support long-term impact.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated graduate or early career professional to join us as a Junior Associate on a 12-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, from high-profile urban regeneration programmes to place-based cultural strategies. You will play a key role in research, project coordination, engagement, and strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
· Research urban environments, people, and places to inform strategy and visioning work.
· Review and synthesise policies, strategies, and reports to help create place visions and identities.
· Support the design and delivery of town centre placemaking, cultural, and economic strategies.
· Plan and deliver engagement activity, including working with communities, stakeholders, and partners.
· Capture and synthesise feedback from engagement to inform strategy development.
· Support project organisation and coordination, ensuring smooth delivery across partners and teams.
· Contribute to tender writing, bid development, and project proposals.
· Assist in delivering strategies into action on the ground.
· Contribute to the development of the company, bringing new ideas, innovations, and ways of working.
About You
· Recently graduated (undergraduate or postgraduate) with 1–3 years’ relevant experience in urban studies, planning, regeneration, cultural policy, social sciences, design, or a related field.
· Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information clearly.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Interest in and motivation for working in the built environment with a strong sense of social purpose.
· Organised, reliable, and able to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
· Confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
· Collaborative and open to working with partners, clients, and colleagues.
· Comfortable receiving feedback and sharing learnings with the team.
